It can be difficult to know what products are tried and true. I have assembled a list of the items I've found helpful in our 5th wheel trailer.

Kitchen Gear
Air Fryer: I love this air fryer. It takes up a bit more counter space, but there's no basket to deal with! It heats from both the top and bottom. Easy cleanup.
Small Slow Cooker: I love the color yellow and the yellow daisies on this 2.5 quart slow cooker are so cheery. This is a great size for small meals for 2 people or for making appetizers like little smokies or meatballs.
Organization
Magazine Basket / Catch All: I saw these magazine baskets in a YouTube video. Keep one by your door and toss things into it if you don't have time to put them away at the moment. The basket looks much tidier than a pile of stuff!
Swing Arm Hanger: This is so sturdy! My pants take up less space in my tiny closet.
Wall Mount: We have 2 Fire TVs (Toshiba) and they are pretty lightweight. We needed to hang a TV in the bedroom and this one fit the bill. It was easy to install and functions well.
Wall Mounted Spice Racks: These are useful for spices, or washcloths, or other small items in any room. We ended up not using ours but the product is fine.
Silverware Caddy: We love this caddy. It holds silverware, straws, servings spoons, and our steak knives. It could be used to hold rolled cloth napkins. Sturdy and cute!
Underbed Storage: We use these bags for underbed storage and also for clothes and fabric in our regular off-site storage. The window area is a bit weak and one out of the 18 we have tore out at the window.
Cleaning
Swiffer Wet and Dry Mop: This mop is super lightweight and can be used to sweep up pet hair & dust or mop. Easy to use for those with arthritis or pain issues!
Drain Cleaning Tool: Hair and gunk goes down our drains and boy can it get smelly. These grab a ton of hair.
Entry Rug: This washable rug has a full, grippy backing and the chenille loops absorb water. I made the mistake of ordering a light blue rug to go with our colors, but it has stained from the dirt and mud here. If I were ordering again, I would order one in the color of the dirt you have around you!
Small Hanging Trash Can: We have moved to a larger can on the floor, but this can is helpful when you are trying to save floor space. It's easy to scrape kitchen scraps into the can while food prepping. The can also can be stood on the ground or the counter when not hanging. We hung it on our stove handle!
Winter Help
Space Heater: We purchased 2 space heaters – an oil filled radiator style and the Dr. Infared Heater. The oil filled radiator heater never could get the space warm. It felt like all the heat went straight up and dispersed through the ceiling. The Dr. Infrared heater blasts heat to people and pets. We use a very short, heavy duty extension cord to plug this into a 20-amp circuit outside. We only have a 30-amp RV and any space heater would overload our RV circuits.
Water Absorbent Mats: We had so much condensation this winter in our windows that the window “lip” would be completely filled with water overnight. These water absorbing mats are easy to cut and I would place them in the windows. They can be tossed when wet or dried and used again.
Dehumidifier, 225 sf: This is way too small to dehumidify a whole RV in a cold winter climate, but it's perfect on a nightstand for the bedroom or near the bathroom. Quiet and efficient.
Dehumidifier, 250 sf: Again, too small for the whole RV, but we use this and the smaller dehumidifier on each side of the bed. Helps with all the condensation we produce while sleeping and with the shower moisture. Quiet!
Hygrometer Thermometer: We love this device to keep track of our humidity level and also to check the temperature inside the trailer. Small and simple. Connects to your phone via Bluetooth.
RV Accessories/Maintenance
Rhino Blaster Pro: We didn't have a way to blast water into our black tank when it was clogged. This device works very well for easy flushing of the black tank.
Toilet maintenance: We had a clog that lasted for about 2 months. We tried everything. This product helped, but didn't solve the issue. We had to buy a plumbing snake to get the clog. This stuff is great, however, for helping with a black tank that wasn't well-maintained by the last owner.
Black Tank Maintenance: Our regular maintenance routine for treating our black tank and helping keep odors down are these drop-ins. After we empty the black tank, I add flush a tab and then 5 gallons of water. This helps things flow the next time we dump the black tank.
Steps: If you need ready-made steps for stationary living, these have been sturdy. They have traction on each step and were not even slippery in the snow and ice of winter.
Replacement sewer hose: Our old hose was fine, but it didn't stretch far enough and this hose also has a clear elbow so we could see what was going into our septic system. It's nice that it comes in 2-10 foot sections so you only need to use as much as you need for your site.
Interior Lights: I want to have the choice to have warm or cool light and dimmers to control the intensity. These fit the bill!
Storage Door Catch: We broke the catch on our most-used storage door in the first week of living in our RV. These are easy to replace and work just like the originals.
Vent Covers: These help keep your RV from getting rain inside if you leave a vent open. This one is black and so it's great for bedrooms to keep light from bothering you.
Bedroom
RV Short Queen Sheet Set: These are the softest sheets! They are silky smooth.
Mattress Pad: Such a soft and padded mattress pad! It's got deep pockets so it fits a variety of mattress thicknesses. We bought the RV Queen but they have several other sizes. Made in the USA.
